Killers in triumphant return to T

Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix performs at T in the Park

The Killers made a triumphant return to T in the Park, delighting an audience of tens of thousands with some of their biggest hits.

Brandon Flowers and the rest of the band appeared on stage some 20 minutes after the scheduled start time for their headline slot, opening with Somebody Told Me - which inspired the audience to offer a mass chorus as they sang along throughout.

The Las Vegas rockers' first experience of the Scottish festival was a performance in 2004 in the King Tut's tent, where many bands have made their breakthrough in the past. They went on to headline in 2009.

The band had topped a poll run by festival organisers to find the act that most people wanted to see in 2013, and so they returned to Balado by popular demand.

Their set came at the end of a day of blue skies and sunshine, with thousands enjoying the weather while watching performances by acts including Ocean Colour Scene, David Guetta, Foals and Rita Ora.
