Kind-hearted Swift surprises fan

Taylor Swift has treated one lucky fan to some surprise gifts.

The Blank Space singer, who brought "Swiftmas" to 30 lucky fans over the Christmas holidays, kicked off her New Year generosities with a surprise gift for superfan Rebekah Bortnicker, who had a mystery box delivered to her door earlier this week.

Rebekah was first alerted that there was something special in store for her when Taylor left a heart-stamped envelope emoji on her Tumblr.

It came after she created a video that she had posted online, showing pictures of the 25-year-old singer and her friends to the opening song from TV show Friends.

Touched by her fan's love, the Pennsylvania-born star got to work on a hand painted picture, wallet, a heartfelt note and card, Polaroid photographs and a necklace.

Also enclosed in the "Swift-Ex" box was a cheque for 1,989 dollars (£1,300), hidden in the wallet. A note was also included which said: "Rebekah, now you are 1989 dollars closer to paying those student loans," referring to Taylor's new album, 1989.

Rebekah has released a reaction video which sees her break down in tears, overwhelmed by her favourite singer's kindness.

She also wrote on her Tumblr: "Taylor, you are the most amazing person.

"I can't believe you did this for me, I can't believe this is my life right now. Thank you, I could say it a million times and it wouldn't be enough. I love you."

Towards the end of 2014, Taylor also surprised fans with boxes filled with Christmas gifts.
