Kylie and Dannii for Oz reunion

Kylie Minogue has helped sister Dannii with mentoring on The X Factor Australia

Kylie and Dannii Minogue are set to reunite on Australian TV, when Kylie appears as a guest mentor on X Factor Australia.

It would mark the sisters' first reunion on screens Down Under in 26 years, following their previous appearance on break-out variety show Young Talent Time in 1987.

"I don't even want to think of how long ago that was. My hair was bigger, my waist was smaller... good times," Kylie joked to News.com.au.

She joins her younger sister as her celebrity mentor on the Australian version of the singing competition, after their previous collaboration on the UK show in 2009.

The judges' house episode was filmed in New York, where the I Should Be So Lucky singer was recording her new album Skirt. It will be shown later on Australia's Channel 7.

"Dannii is so good at this, I'm just along for the ride. It's really fun to do something together, so it was a done deal when she asked me," Kylie said.

"This feels normal for us. This kind of show is one of Dannii's natural habitats, but I do feel at home on a TV set and being with my sister. We're both comfortable in this environment."

Joining first-time X Factor Australia judge Dannii on the judging panel are LMFAO's Redfoo, Ronan Keating and former Neighbours actress and Rogue Traders singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
