Kylie: I want to sing with Prince

Kylie Minogue has revealed she is still holding out for a duet with Prince.

The Australian singer, who is to release her new album Kiss Me Once on March 17, said she had a teenage crush on the Kiss superstar.

"I would love to sing with Prince because he was my obsession as a teenager, literally," she said.

"I might have paid for his car because I went to see Purple Rain so many times," she added.

Kylie, who has duetted with the likes of Robbie Williams, Nick Cave, Enrique Iglesias and Jason Donovan, admitted the pair almost worked together years ago, but the collaboration never happened.

"I have met him. We actually almost did work together years ago. I went to Minneapolis and saw his studio, his set-up and everything but it didn't go any further," she continued.

The 45-year-old added: "I guess he's back on the radar. I don't think he ever stops working but he was recently in London. It would be pretty cool to sing with Prince. There's a lot you could learn from Prince for sure."
