Lady Gaga gets 13 VMA nominations
Lady Gaga has been nominated for a record-breaking 13 MTV Video Music Awards.
The Alejandro singer received the most nominations ever in a single year, earning nods in the Best Collaboration and Best Choreography categories, while Bad Romance and Telephone both made it into the shortlists for Video Of The Year.
Fans will be expecting more eccentric costumes from the 24-year-old, who covered herself in fake blood during a performance at last year's awards ceremony.
But Gaga faces some strong musical competition - Eminem scored eight nominations, including Best Male Video and Best Direction, while Brit singer Florence And The Machine is in contention for five gongs.
Both will battle Lady Gaga for the coveted Video Of The Year award, alongside Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars and B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams.
The 2010 MTV VMAs will take place in Los Angeles on 12 September.
