Lady Gaga 'plans to sing in space'

Lady Gaga is reportedly planning to become the first pop star to sing in space.

The Applause singer will go into orbit to perform in outer space in early 2015, reported Us Weekly.

The performance will be part of the Zero G Colony tech festival, which will be held at Spaceport America in New Mexico.

A source said: "She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere."

Gaga, 27, will fly into space on a Virgin Galactic shuttle, hours after the fleet's first commercial flight. She will perform one song while she is in space.

Another insider promised the galactic event would be "like nothing the world has seen before".
