Leona Lewis stays positive after 'punch to head'
Friday, 30 October 2009
Leona Lewis says she has stayed “positive” after her attack at a book signing.
The singer said yesterday that she did not plan to change her life following the incident at Waterstone's in the Piccadilly area of London.
Lewis, who was struck as she signed books for fans, said: “I don't like to dwell on the negatives, I'm a very positive person.”
The X Factor winner said she did not plan to alter how she lived her life and although she did not have bodyguards, she did have people who “looked out” for her.
Asked about her time since winning the show, the singer said she was “still pinching herself” about her success.
Peter Kowalczyk (29) has been charged with assaulting the singer and the case has been adjourned until November 23.
He has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is being examined by psychiatrists.
