Liam in Twitter rant against Noel
Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher has launched an attack on his brother Noel on Twitter, comparing him to outspoken columnist Katie Hopkins.
The brothers fell out in 2009 and Noel left Oasis to form his own solo act High Flying Birds, while Liam and the rest of the band changed their name to Beady Eye.
Noel recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine in which he said Zayn Malik had made a mistake quitting One Direction, and accused Liam of giving Oasis fans false hope the band would reunite.
Liam hit back on Twitter, writing: "I see Noel Katie Hopkins Gallagher is talking out of his slack arse again go and polish your SAXAPHONE
"Hey NG leave those 1d kids alone
"Just coz you have a SAXAPHONE on your new record and you think your all Pink Floyd
"Everybody knows your just another PRICK in the wall
"Re oasis rumours you know I don't bum the press never had never will you know where I am if you need me LG x [sic]"
Noel had accused Liam of stirring up false rumours of an Oasis reunion by posting a picture of himself on social media wearing a High Flying Birds backstage pass captioned: "Keeping it in the family."
Noel told Rolling Stone: "It wasn't his pass. He wasn't there. It was my other brother's pass. If he'd had been at one of my gigs, you would've known about it because he'd have made his way on-stage and started acting like a f****** gobshite. He's being a bit disingenuous to Oasis fans in the sense that he always gets their hopes up.
"There was a rumour last week that we've had a gentleman's agreement, but that rumour's come from his people. It's a 'source close to him,' and I'll tell you how close it is - she probably wakes up with him every morning.
"It's always left to me in an interview to let the kids down."
Liam tweeted in response: "Me and my adorable close source are living the vida Loca in the SHUNSINE [sic]"
Noel's advice for Malik leaving One Direction, currently the most successful boyband in the world, was, "Get a good accountant because life is very f****** long."
He added: "It's a strange thing for that lad to have done at that age. The greatest quote was - I laughed out loud when I read it - 'I just want to be a normal 22-year-old.'
"Who wants to be a normal 22-year-old?! Hang on a minute. You can be f****** anything that moves and getting paid half a million dollars a week, you idiot."
