Little Mix have announced their first headline tour of the US.

The former X Factor winners - who recently supported Skyscraper singer Demi Lovato on the US leg of her Neon Lights tour - will hit the road in America in September, playing 16 dates.

The foursome tweeted the news, saying: "USA! The girls are so excited for the #SaluteTourUSA!" and added a link to a video in which they said they couldn't wait for the shows.

Band member Jade Thirlwall also tweeted that the tour is a "dream come true".

Little Mix will perform their first show in Florida on September 10 and will play in cities including Houston and New York before ending with a gig at The Sound Academy in Toronto on October 11.

The Little Me singers - Jade, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - released their second album, Salute, in November.

Catching up on your reading, playing a sport or watching a movie will help you wind down. There are worse things than being held captive by a regular routine.More
