Lopez visits Vegas to find Idol
Jennifer Lopez, American Idol's new judge, is hoping to strike it lucky as the talent show pays a visit to Las Vegas.
The 60 finalists will be narrowed down to 40 as contestants sing Beatles' tunes on stage in Sin City.
"You really get to see who are the performers and who is not," the singer, who is joined on the revamped judging panel by Aerosmith's Steve Tyler, said.
The hit show is taking a softer approach this year following Simon Cowell's exit.
Randy Jackson, the only original judge remaining, revealed he has re-christened the show Season 10, the Remix.
Of the latest batch of American Idol hopefuls, he said: "We all want them to do well because we actually believe in them."
Contestants are also expected to cover both singers' greatest hits.
