Love offers olive branch to Grohl

Courtney Love has revealed she is ready to bury the hatchet with Dave Grohl.

The singer and actress fell out with the Nirvana drummer following her relationship with the band's frontman Kurt Cobain, who killed himself aged 27 in 1994.

Speaking about Dave during at talk at Cannes Lions Advertising Festival 2014, Courtney said: "It's time to make amends."

The pair attended Nirvana's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame together in April, where they embraced, but this is the first time she has spoken about their relationship in public.

During the frank discussion Courtney also spoke about her battle with drug addiction.

She said: "It is a long process because in 2003/2004 I really messed up. But now I'm 50, I still love rock and roll but I want to go back to acting."

Courtney also talked about her relationships with Michael Stipe, Bono - "I look at him as family" - and Gwyneth Paltrow, who she has previously revealed helped her with her drugs battle.

She said: "Gwyneth is not my bestie but she believes in me and when I have had emergencies, she's always been there for me. She's a really great support for me."
