Justin Bieber was "created to do what he does", his mother Pattie Mallette has said.
The Baby singer shot to fame via YouTube in his early teens and his mum reckons he was born to be a star.
She told Us magazine: "I feel like he's created to do what he does, he just handles everything so well and of course I raised him to know that just because you're talented and gifted, doesn't mean you're better than someone else, you're created equal."
She added: "It's got to be tough, you have the whole world screaming your name. I'm just really proud of him, he's handled it really well."
Pattie - who is releasing her own memoir - had a troubled childhood and became pregnant with Justin aged 17. She said she often dispenses advice to her son.
"I've been through so much pain in my life that I've always taught him don't learn the hard way, learn from my mistakes," she added.
