Mariah Carey has tweeted a photo from her hospital bed, which shows her posing in her shoulder sling.

The singer dislocated her shoulder while filming the video for new single #Beautiful and shared a snap of her war wounds with followers.

Mariah's photo shows her looking glamorous as she poses in a hospital bed surrounded by medical machinery, despite wearing a sling and having a dressing taped to her arm.

The star captioned the Twitter photo: "Dislocated my shoulder on the remix video with Jeezy, sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks!"

Husband Nick Cannon called Mariah "a trooper", according to The Sun, as she returned to the video shoot just two hours after having the joint reset, but revealed the injury was more serious than first thought. Nick is directing the video.

Despite her injury, the 40-year-old songstress is expected to perform with the New York Philharmonic at the MLB All-Star charity concert at Central Park's Great Lawn on July 13, which will benefit victims of Superstorm Sandy.

#Beautiful, which features Grammy-winning RnB singer Miguel, is the first single from Mariah's upcoming album, which is due to be released later this year.
