Mars sees Lazy Song at top of chart

Bruno Mars's The Lazy Song made energetic progress this week to shoot to the top of the singles chart

Bruno Mars's The Lazy Song made energetic progress this week to shoot to the top of the singles chart.

The Honolulu-born star's record climbed from last week's number two to make it three number one singles from Mars's debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans.

Mars will be headlining three UK dates this August as well as making a number of festival appearances throughout the summer.

There are two new entries in this week's Official Singles Chart Top 10.

American rapper Pitbull's Give Me Everything, featuring Ne-Yo, Dutch DJ Afrojack and American singer Nayer, climbs to number four from last week's number 12.

Pitbull is also a featured vocalist on the current Jennifer Lopez single On The Floor which is this week's number seven.

The irrepressible Lady Gaga is straight in with The Edge Of Glory at number six.

The poker-faced blonde also has singles Judas at number 11 (up from last week's 20) while Born This Way, which was released in February, is this week's number 24.

Adele shows no signs of relinquishing her hold on the Official Albums Chart as 21 claims its 15th week at the top of the chart and debut album 19 stays at number three.

Actor and TV star Hugh Laurie takes the accolade of highest new entry as his debut album, the blues influenced Let Them Talk, soars straight in at number two.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
