Steve Martin will release his second bluegrass album in the US in March.
The actor said he wrote some of the new record, Rare Bird Alert, on the set of his upcoming film The Big Year.
The 13 track album features impressive guest stars, with Sir Paul McCartney singing one song and the Dixie Chicks performing another.
Steve, 65, also penned a few of the new tracks while touring with the Steep Canyon Rangers, a bluegrass quintet who back him on the latest album.
Rare Bird Alert will be out March 15. Steve and his band will support the album with a national tour of the States beginning in May.
