Max George's elocution lessons

The Wanted star Max George has revealed he is taking elocution lessons so that Hollywood bigwigs can understand him.

The singer, who grew up in Manchester, told the Daily Mirror that when he goes to auditions, movie chiefs have trouble making out what he's saying.

Max, 25, revealed: "I'm having elocution lessons, since they can't understand me in casting interviews.

"I had an acting role lined up but the filming clashed with The Wanted tour so it didn't happen in the end."

He added: "I'm hoping people can see something new from me next month but I don't want to say too much in case I shoot myself in the foot with it. I am looking to relocate to LA but not just yet.

"I have some things here first and we've some The Wanted gigs coming up."

The Wanted announced in January that they are to go their separate ways after their next tour.

The group, whose hits include Glad You Came and I Found You, said that they will "pursue personal endeavours" at the end of their Word Of Mouth shows.

Max, who once dated Michelle Keegan, joked that he would willingly play some kind of role at her wedding to Mark Wright.

"I'm not touring so I'm available as their wedding singer," he told the newspaper.
