John Mayer secretly bought a fan a guitar she couldn't afford after a chance meeting in a shop.

Singer John wandered into a New York music store with girlfriend Katy Perry where fan Julie Fermin and her two friends happened to be looking at guitars, said E!.

Rudy's Music Shop salesman Brad Tretola pointed out the young fans to John and Katy, who came over to talk to them about the instruments they were looking at.

The famous couple posed for a photo with the girls and when John asked if any of them played guitar, Julie said that she did and showed him the guitar she had been looking at but said she couldn't afford it.

As John left the store he secretly paid for the guitar for her, but asked manager Gordon French to keep it to himself until he was gone.

Julie posted photos to her Twitter account of the group posing together, one of her holding her new guitar, and the receipt, price covered up, with John's name on it.

Salesman Brad said: "Katy and John treated them so kindly, they were such sweethearts! Katy told one of the girls: 'I love your earrings'."

Aquarius:

Trust your instincts regarding moneymaking offers. If a job seems too good to be true, it probably is. Working as part of a campaigning team will suit you down to the ground. You're more motivated to help people than turn big profits. Some friends will discourage you from entering such a field, fearing it won't be lucrative. Don't worry. You'll make a very good salary by doing what you love. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be miserable to earn a good living.More
