McCartney dedicates Q gong to Linda

Sir Paul McCartney dedicated his award to his late wife Linda

Sir Paul McCartney dedicated his Q award for Band On The Run by Wings to his late wife Linda, who was part of the album's line-up.

Sir Paul picked up the classic album award for the Wings album - soon to be reissued 37 years after it was released.

Dedicating it to Linda, who died in 1998 from cancer, he said: "This album was quite a struggle to make. The Beatles were a pretty hard act to follow, and we were going to follow them."

As they were about to leave to record the album, two band members left the band and then when they arrived in Lagos - where it was recorded - they were mugged and lost the tapes.

"Linda was getting s***ged off for being in the band. I was getting s***ged off for letting her in the band. But we finally got it together on this album.

"This one's for Linda," added Sir Paul, who was given a standing ovation.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
