McCartney, Starr reuniting for show

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are set to reunite for a TV tribute to The Beatles.

The surviving members of the British band were rumoured to be getting together for an upcoming performance, and Ringo has now confirmed that they will both appear on a televised show commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's arrival in America.

The drummer told Access Hollywood they are reuniting for The Night That Changed America: A Grammys Salute To The Beatles on January 27, the day after the Grammys.

He said: "To celebrate the 50 years since we landed in New York in February [1964], they are putting on a big show on Monday and we will be doing it there."

The special - to mark 50 years since The Beatles performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in the US - will air in February.

There has also been speculation that Sir Paul, 71, and Ringo, 73, will perform together at the Grammys, which will be held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on January 26.
