McCartney to play Yankee Stadium

Sir Paul McCartney will play the Yankee Stadium next month

Sir Paul McCartney is set to take to the stage of New York's Yankee Stadium.

The 68-year-old Beatles star will perform his first concert at the venue on July 15.

Sir Paul has been part of several high-profile shows in New York ballparks.

The Beatles played to more than 55,000 fans at Shea Stadium to open a North American tour in 1965, one of the most memorable performances by the Fab Four.

After Shea Stadium was torn down, Sir Paul returned in July 2009 to play three sold-out shows at its replacement, Citi Field.

And the singer also was instrumental in organising The Concert for New York City at Madison Square Garden after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
