McFly have been forced to postpone the first three dates of their upcoming tour — including a Belfast show — after illness struck the band.

The group had been due to play Nottingham, Belfast and Dublin on March 12, 14 and 16, but put the shows back to the end of April.

They will now play the Odyssey Arena on April 3, followed by the O2 in Dublin the following night.

Singer Tom Fletcher apologised for any inconvenience caused and said he hoped the fans would be understanding.

He tweeted: “Due to illnesses in the band McFly have had to move the first three dates of their forthcoming arena tour to the end of April.

“Sorry guys, they are not cancelled, just moved.”

Fletcher continued: “I'm quarantining myself from the sickies so I don't catch their germs.”

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Aries:

You must be decisive. Don't leave your Fate in the hands of others. If you need more money, ask for a raise. Are you dissatisfied with a relationship? Issue an ultimatum. Are you perturbed by an ethical matter? Speak on behalf of justice. People will be uncomfortable with your dramatic behaviour, but they will respond to it. Waiting for a miracle to arrive simply isn't wise. When you want to make a change, you have to take action, even at the risk of being unpopular.More
