Meighan: Spice Girls 'horrifying'

Kasabian will play at the Olympic park this year

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has hit out at the Spice Girls - after his band were named as the first to play at the Olympic park since the summer games.

The Spice Girls reunited at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics last year.

But Tom told The Sun: "We were on tour during the Olympics but I saw some bits on telly.

"There were some horrifying bits, like the Spice Girls. They really didn't do the place justice.

"We'll be the first band to play the park, so it's great."

Leicester rock band Kasabian headline Hard Rock Calling on Saturday June 29, before Bruce Springsteen on June 30.

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
