Morrison may win indecency pardon

Jim Morrison was appealing his conviction when he died

Jim Morrison may get an official pardon for an indecent exposure conviction, 39 years after the rock legend's death.

Florida governor Charlie Crist is convinced that The Doors' frontman was not guilty of exposing himself at a raucous 1969 concert in Miami in the US.

The singer was appealing against the indecent exposure and profanity conviction when he died in 1971 in Paris at the age of 27.

Mr Crist said he will submit the star's name to his state's clemency board.
