Morrissey to play London gig

Morrissey is to play his first UK show in two years, with a gig in November.

The 55-year-old singer will return to the stage in London - his first gig in the capital in 2011 - when he performs at the O2 Arena on November 29.

The UK date follows a major tour across the US earlier this year, and will precede a wider European tour.

Morrissey, whose autobiography was published last October, released his new album World Peace Is None Of Your Business in July, his first solo release since 2009's Years Of Refusal.

The album has apparently been removed from iTunes in America as well as streaming services like Spotify and Rdio, after the outspoken and controversial musician claimed he and his record label Harvest had parted company, saying they had "botched" the release of the record.

Tickets for his arena show at the O2 will go on sale on August 29 at 9am from
