Kate Moss has revealed that George Michael hand-delivered a copy of his new album to her home.

The supermodel, a close friend of the Careless Whisper singer, admitted she got the personal touch as she reviewed the record for Vogue.

"The doorbell rings. It's 8.45pm on a miserable Tuesday night and I open the door to find George Michael standing outside (I knew he was coming). He has his new album, Symphonica, in his hand and I'm excited," she wrote.

Kate offers her verdict on the tracks, with the "fragile and honest" You've Changed "almost" making her cry, while being impressed with the "amazing" Praying For Time and the "classic masterpiece" Cowboys And Angels.

The 40-year-old model's husband Jamie Hince also shared his thoughts on the live album, which is out now.

"I listen to the music. And with George, there's also something about his voice that's so idiosyncratic that you know it's him straight away," he said.

"He's got that thing with his voice that's kind of crazy. He's in that tradition of Sinatra, Johnny Cash and Elvis," the Kills guitarist added.

Kate continued: "George's ability to communicate as a performer and make you feel part of a journey is a rare gift. It's an ability that defines the musical greats and, for me, it also defines what makes Symphonica such a beautiful album. Everyone should experience this."
