Mumford And Sons go electronic?

Mumford And Sons haven't ruled out a move into electronic music for their next album

Mumford And Sons lead singer Marcus Mumford his hinted that the band's next album could involve a total change of pace.

The band, best known for their combination of folk and rock, have been nominated for 12 Grammys for their second album Babel.

But Mumford, who's married to fellow Brit Carey Mulligan, told Style Magazine that the band isn't averse to using synthesizers in future.

"We've always done what feels good, rather than what we've thought long and hard about, and we'll do whatever feels soulful next, whether that's with an electric guitar or a synthesizer," he explained.

While bandmate Ben Lovett added: "It's dangerous for us to talk about what we've been discussing for the third album, but we do have greater ambitions not to just stay within certain sonic confines."

"We're not going to be the band that stands for folk music or organic music."
