Nadine Coyle thinks there are too many “mummy’s boys” in the world.

The gorgeous singer is best known as one fifth of pop group Girls Aloud, along with Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts.

Nadine is proud that she’s a successful career woman, and admits although she’s happy with her American football star fiancé Jason Bell, she doesn’t need a man to survive.

The talented star insists women don’t need men, although she thinks men are often too reliant on the fairer sex.

“Men rely too much on women! Just think of all the mummy’s boys in the world. A woman must be strong and independent,” she claimed.

Nadine announced she was engaged to handsome Jason earlier this year. They have been dating on and off since 2008 and the feisty star has previously joked she would like him to take her name when they wed.

“I actually asked Jason if he’d be Mrs Coyle! I was like, ‘How would you feel about changing your name?’ But Jason wasn’t going for it,” she laughed.
