New Libertines music on its way

Carl Barat has said The Libertines are preparing to write new music.

The musician told NME that the reunited band will head to Germany later this year to work on a new album together.

Pete Doherty is also on board.

Carl said that the rockers, who recently played an open-air show at London's Hyde Park, would release the new music in 2015.

"I don't wanna just go on the road because then you'll get cabin fever and have an epic fallout. So yeah, I want to keep something fresh coming in. We just need to find the time," he said.

The Libertines are set to play a series of live dates in September.
