Niall Horan has revealed he could be stranded in England for Christmas.

The One Direction heartthrob is trying to get back to Ireland to spend the festive season with his family but tweeted that the rain and high winds could mean he doesn't make if for Christmas Day.

"Well this is s**t! Looks like we ain't goin home for Xmas! F*** you wind," he wrote.

His friend Willie Devine then tweeted: "Wanted: two spaces at a Christmas dinner table this side of the Irish Sea for myself and @NiallOfficial."

But Niall - who had been in London seeing JLS' last show at the O2 - later seemed to have come to terms with not making it back to the Emerald Isle.

The 20-year-old singer tweeted: "Looks like we'll just put the heating back on! Go food shoppin!"

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Capricorn:

Your dry humour will be very popular. It's always difficult bringing a large group of people together. Everybody feels like they are walking on eggshells. After cracking a few jokes, you'll put the group at ease. Resist the temptation to make fun of relatives, especially the more sensitive members of the group. Nobody likes feeling singled out. Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
