Chipmunk has said he could never be a judge on shows like The X Factor - because he is too honest.
The London rapper, who has scored a No 1 single with Oopsy Daisy and four top ten singles, had a taste of judging on the Live And Lost tour with BlackBerry, where one of his challenges saw him sitting on a panel for a talent show.
But he said: "That was the point when I realised that judging is definitely not for me. I can't hide my emotions so if I find something funny, I am going to laugh - and that's not very sympathetic so I will not be doing that ever again."
Chipmunk - whose real name is Jahmaal Noel Fyffe - has no plans to be a mentor either.
"Mentoring or judging, absolutely not. I'm just sticking to performing and writing," he said.
He alsoplans to start writing songs for his third album, the follow-up to this year's Transition. He added: "Not yet. That is going to happen at the end of the year."
:: Chipmunk's Live And Lost adventures, where he was dropped in a remote location with only £20 and a BlackBerry 9900 smartphone, can be seen on T4 on October 23 and www.blackberry.com/liveandlost.
