One Direction look sweet as candy after being transformed into Pez-heads to help raise money for Comic Relief.

Boy band members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have all autographed their special one-off Pez sweet dispensers which are being auctioned off as collectors' items in the run-up to Red Nose Day on March 15.

Singer and The Voice coach Jessie J, comic Ricky Gervais - who is reviving The Office for a one-off show - and Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon have also been given the sugar-coated makeover.

One Direction said they were big fans of the sweets which have been enjoyed by successive generations of children.

"We think it's a great idea that will hopefully raise lots of cash for Comic Relief," the group said.

Jessie, who will be shaving off her hair to raise money on Red Nose Day, joked: "I never thought I'd have my own Pez-head. What an honour."

The One Direction Pez-heads will be sold to the highest bidder as a box set in a special eBay auction closing at 8.30pm on Thursday, March 14.

The others will all be auctioned off separately and have also been signed by their celebrities.

A pair of Pez-heads of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, created in celebration of the royal wedding in 2011, fetched £8,200 at a charity auction.

Global pop stars One Direction are hoping to break another record with the sale of theirs. Bids can be made at www.pez.at.
