Parfitt reveals older dad worries

Status Quo rocker Rick Parfitt has told of his fears that he won't see his children grow up.

The star became a father once again, to twins who are now five, at the age of 59.

According to the Daily Mail, Rick said: "It upsets me to think that I won't see them fully grow up. I probably won't. Even if I live to 80, they will just about be 20. I would love to see them get to 21.

"It frightens the life out of me when I think I'm not going to see them grow up, and to see what they do and what they become. I know it's morbid, but I'm only being realistic. I won't be around.

"That really scares me. I'm going to try and do as much as I can. I'm going to travel with them and take them to Disneyland. I want to be able to see their faces when they see that sort of thing. "

Rick's 54-year-old wife Lyndsay became pregnant with twins Tommy and Lily after having IVF treatment.

The former hellraiser, who suffered a quadruple heart bypass in 1997 and a heart attack in 2011, says he now never spends more than three weeks away from his family while touring with the band.

Rick has a son Richard, 39, from his first marriage and another Harry, 24, from his second.
