Perry missed Mayer at MTV EMAs

Katy Perry was missing John Mayer at the EMAs

Katy Perry revealed she missed her man John Mayer, as she arrived in Amsterdam for the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The Roar singer was all smiles on the red carpet as she posed for photos and greeted fans at the city's Ziggo Dome - but admitted she wished her boyfriend could join her.

"Always. Of course!" she replied when asked if she missed him.

The 29-year-old, who wore a mint green Zac Posen dress, said he was busy finding a new time-piece.

"He's not here. He's actually doing a watch shop - he's a big watch man," she added.

Katy - who scooped the award for Best Female act - performed her new single Unconditionally from her fourth album Prism on stage, which saw her suspended from the ceiling in a mirrored bodysuit.

She said she has been immersing herself in Dutch culture by indulging in some shopping therapy.

"I love Amsterdam. I went to this little area and got so many Netherlands-based designer clothes," she said.

"I always love to immerse myself into the culture of the city," she added.
