Katy Perry is set to Roar into the 2013 MTV European Music Awards.

The Teenage Dream singer will take to the stage to perform her new single Unconditionally, from her upcoming album Prism, at the ceremony in Amsterdam.

"I'm so excited to return to the EMA stage! I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from Prism to share with fans from around the world on November 10," she said.

Will Ferrell's Anchorman alter-ego Ron Burgundy will appear as a special guest, reporting from various city landmarks throughout the show.

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore And Ryan Lewis lead this year's nominations with five nods each, while Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are each up for four awards.

Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Green Day, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Daft Punk, Rudimental, Icona Pop and One Direction have each received three nods, while Rihanna, Katy Perry, Eminem, Jay Z, Bastille, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Paramore, Rita Ora, Drake, Afrojack, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Iggy Azalea are up for two.

Additional EMA performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.

The EMAs will be broadcast live on November 10 at 9pm from the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
