Peter Andre takes to stage after op

Peter Andre performed at Butlins shortly after the operation

Peter Andre defied doctors orders to take to the stage just 48 hours after an emergency operation.

The singer and reality TV star was rushed to hospital in "excruciating pain" on Friday morning and was forced to postpone two gigs at Plymouth Pavilions on Friday night and Butlins in Minehead on Saturday, after doctors decided to operate.

They advised 24 hours rest but Peter performed at Minehead's Butlins resort on Sunday because he didn't want to "let his fans down", the Daily Star reports.

The 37-year-old singer said: "Fans have travelled for miles in snow and ice to see me. I will not let them down. They have supported me through some dark times and I will be there no matter what."

But after the gig Peter was tearful and went home, admitting: "I just want to see my kids."

The Plymouth Pavilions gig was rescheduled to December 21.

Peter is now resting at home.

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
