Pink: Being beautiful not my goal

Pink has revealed that she was always considered "butch" and been told she's not pretty enough for magazine covers.

The Raise Your Glass singer told Redbook she gets plenty of comments about her appearance but is totally comfortable with who she is.

Taking about her self-confidence, the 33-year-old said: "'A girl like me' is someone who doesn't rest on her looks, who has had people tell me from day one, 'You're never going to get magazine covers because you're not pretty enough.'

"I'm totally comfortable with that. I know my strong points: I work hard, I have talent, I'm funny, and I'm a good person."

Pink - who has a 19-month-old daughter, Willow, with husband Carey Hart, said being conventionally beautiful has never been her goal.

"Well, I was always considered butch," she said. "Feeling beautiful to me is when I feel good in my leather pants and my husband grabs my a**. Or when I'm sitting on a mat and my daughter runs to me with complete joy.

"Beautiful has never been my goal. Joy is my goal - to feel healthy and strong and powerful and useful and engaged and intelligent and in love. It's about joy."

Pink appears on the cover of Redbook magazine's March 2013 issue.

A cherished dream is elusive. It will be best to change gear, at least for the immediate future. Pursue a moneymaking opportunity with creative appeal. Getting paid to exercise your imagination will lift your spirits. By the time you finish this assignment, you may be in better condition to pursue your primary goal. A brilliant idea for operating on a shoestring budget will come. At that point, nothing will stand between you and success. Stay calm and take things one step at a time.More
