Pink: Everything is a song now

Pink said her life is a lot more fun these days

Pink has revealed her new album reflects that she's having "more fun" these days.

The US star - who is unveiling her new record The Truth About Love - said she used to be "really dark" but hinted that things have changed now that she is mum to 15-month-old daughter Willow.

She said: "Now, I wake up and check her pulse and make sure she's not having a temperature. And then we dance. And we dance, and we dance, and we dance.

"Then, we go on bike rides. And we dance some more. Everything's a song. It's just a lot more fun. I guess that's how the record reflects where I am right now. I'm just having a lot more fun than I ever have."

Pink calls her new album, which features Eminem, Nate Ruess of Fun and Lily Rose Cooper "just kinda all over the place".

"(I was) just having fun. I think that's a new thing for me. I was having a lot more fun than I was having before. I think production-wise it's a lot more interesting," she said. "The musicality, I feel like I raised the bar for myself."

Pink revealed that being a mother helped to lighten her mood while recording, and also changed the process.

She explained: "Studio sessions used to be like, 'OK. I'm gonna start my record. Get the whiskey and some cigarettes, and let's do this (expletive) thing'.

"Now, it's Monday through Friday from 1 to 10pm. She would be there every couple of hours. Everyone I worked with was either a parent or friend, so it was very, very easy."

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
