A man has been jailed for eight years for stabbing rapper Professor Green in the neck, police said.
Anthony Jones, 26, of Woodbury Down Estate, Harringay, north London, attacked the star outside a nightclub in May 2009.
Officers gave first aid to Professor Green - real name Stephen Manderson - who had been stabbed in the neck with a glass bottle and suffered a deep cut to his throat.
The 27-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack outside Cargo nightclub in Shoreditch, east London.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Jones was jailed at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
He was found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent at a trial at the same court in October last year.
