Professor Green has insisted his spats with followers on Twitter are "a bit of a giggle".
The Read All About It rapper regularly challenges his detractors on the social networking site - but insisted it was all a bit of fun.
"I'm not sitting there seething, going, 'Oh you...' A lot of the people that say bad things to me aren't that intelligent and it's quite easy to just turn it. I don't battle any more, I came up battling and I don't really have anyone to argue with any more so I just vent all of that through Twitter."
He added: "I just find it a bit of a giggle."
The star - real name Stephen Manderson - said he didn't let negative comments get to him.
"Not at all but in the same respect I don't let people's compliments go to my head either. As much as I appreciate and don't appreciate the positive and negative, it's like the only opinions that really matter to me are those people I really know."
And he expressed disgust at the Twitter abuse received by new mum Adele from online trolls.
"It's weird isn't it, I think maybe these things would have been said years ago but there wouldn't have been a social platform for people to have their words heard or seen," he said.
"Now there is and it's just the world that we're in, isn't it?"
