Revealed: Who you voted Northern Ireland's greatest guitarist
Last week we asked who is Northern Ireland's greatest guitarist - and one man has been crowned the clear winner.
For such a small corner of the earth Northern Ireland has produced some fantastic talent, especially when it comes to music.
So with so many iconic musicians hailing from these parts and, inspired by the latest Bushmills #AnswerTheCall event 'Whiskey and Strings', we posed the question: Who is Northern Ireland's greatest guitarist?
Thousands voted for their favourite but one man was clearly the winner - Thin Lizzy star Gary Moore.
The Belfast born musician was considered one of the world's most iconic guitar players, having performed with Thin Lizzy, Skid Row and Colosseum II.
Gary came out on top of the poll with 67%, with his nearest rival being Def Leppard and Whitesnake star Vivian Campbell who had 10% of the vote.
While Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy), Van Morrison, Nathan Connolly (Snow Patrol), Paul Mahon (The Answer), and Paul McMordie are all worthy stars, it seems no one can come close to Gary Moore.
Full list of results:
- Gary Moore - 67%
- Vivian Campbell - 10%
- Eric Bell - 7%
- Van Morrison - 6%
- Nathan Connolly - 4%
- Paul Mahon - 3%
- Paul McMordie - 3%
