Rihanna performs at Idol finale
Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez proved they were the queens of the crops at the American Idol finale.
Both the Bajan beauty and the American Idol judge showed off their taut tums as they performed on the US show, which saw folksy guitar-strumming singer Phillip Phillips crowned the winner ahead of 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez.
Rihanna went for a dominatrix tribal look in a thigh-high skirt and bra top to sing her new single Where Have You Been, while J-Lo swapped a seat on the panel for the stage in a sequinned crop top and matching low-slung trousers for her performance of Follow The Leader.
Neil Diamond also gave a rendition of his 1969 hit Sweet Caroline.
Phillip, who suffered kidney problems throughout the competition, admitted his triumph was a surprise.
"I never thought I would win or anything. I was just doing my thing each week," he said.
"If I would've gotten cut, it wouldn't have bothered me. I wouldn't have been depressed because it's just a TV show. I just went out there and did my thing."
The 21-year-old revealed that his health problems were a challenge.
"It was really tough, man. I had a lot of great doctors watching after me. Sometimes it would be tough to sing and just stand up. It's good to have people around you. I'm gonna have to get surgery done soon. It's gonna make me feel all better," he added.
