Rita Ora has revealed Jay Z is so strict he fines her if she turns up late to the recording studio.

The Hot Right Now singer is signed to the rapper's Roc Nation label and told NME magazine he is a stickler for punctuality.

Rita said: "I was late in the studio by 10 minutes and I got an email checking up on me. There's a fine if I'm late.

"I set that standard for myself, but now I'm regretting it.

"It's a small example of the way Jay is always on time and on point with his s***."

But the singer - who is dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris - revealed her respect for the hip-hop star makes her want to do her best to impress him.

She added: "He doesn't try and make you do anything you don't want to do - he doesn't make you be on time - but he makes you realise you're only affecting yourself."

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Sagittarius:

Expressing your creative side is strongly advised. Take this opportunity to write, paint or play music. Relatives may not appreciate your work, but that doesn't matter. The important thing is to satisfy your own taste. People who are daring and experimental will appreciate your efforts. Don't be surprised if you're given a chance to showcase your work in a magazine, boutique or gallery. Fame and acclaim can be yours, so long as you're willing to follow your instincts.More
