Robbie: I deserve OBE like Gary

Robbie Williams has declared he would like to be hailed as "a national treasure" like his former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.

Gary - who co-wrote a song for the diamond jubilee this year - has just picked up an OBE from the Queen and Robbie told James Corden on Sky 1 HD's When Robbie Met James, he'd like the same recognition.

Robbie said: "Do I think I'm a national treasure? I don't see why I shouldn't be. I'm a good lad really.

"I have a gigantic ego and need to be at the top of the pile and be doing amazingly well; at the same time I'm pleased to be anywhere."

But the Candy singer also insisted he and Gary have put any former rivalry behind them.

He said: "There's genuinely a great chemistry with me and Gaz.

"I get respect from one of the best song writers in the world and that's all I ever wanted."
