Robbie Williams: I was so deluded

Robbie Williams said he is in a 'better place' these days

Robbie Williams has revealed how he's in "a better place now", with fatherhood coming his way.

The Take That star, who is expecting his first child with wife Ayda Field, admitted he doesn't mind giving up his rock and roll lifestyle for parenthood.

"I went all the way through my 20s, thinking I was sentenced to a life of mental imprisonment but I'm in a better place now. I was absolutely f*****g deluded," he told GQ magazine.

"I always considered myself to be perpetually 18 and now I can't be. Also, you go through therapy and blame your parents - now all of a sudden you're a parent and there's no one to blame any more. Your child could blame you," added the 38-year-old.

Robbie admitted that he did have some concerns about being a dad.

"I was calm at the beginning, then I gave up smoking, and I don't know if it was because of the nicotine leaving my system but I started to worry. I've been famous since I was 16. I've never had to do anything for myself. Hopefully that will continue," he explained.

"But what if it didn't and I have to bend and form another person? There are all these concerns. And then I just chilled out as we had an interview with a nanny. They're like an oracle of little baby people."

The singer also revealed that he would like to work with Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, outside of the band.

"I'd love to do an album with him but that wouldn't go down well with the boys I don't think," he said.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
