Rodgers wants reunion with Madonna

Nile Rodgers says he'd love to work with Madonna again

Nile Rodgers has said he is keen to reunite with Madonna for another collaboration.

The Chic star previously worked with her on her Like A Virgin album, but told Metro he would love to do so again.

Nile, 61, said: "I adore Madonna. If she ever wants to work, I am totally down.

"For a gazillion years I have always said she is the hardest-working person I have ever worked with. She is the most dedicated. The most focused and I absolutely adore her."

The musician, who collaborated with Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams on Get Lucky, also said he was putting the finishing touches to a track with Disclosure and Sam Smith, having previously worked with them on another track called Together.

He said: "We cut another song at the same time but it was so amazing that we wanted to spend time and get it right. They sent the new song to me three days ago and I put a new bass line on the second part. It's scary!"

Nile, who closed the Brit Awards with a performance with Pharrell and performed at the after party with Kylie Minogue, said he was planning to release a lot more music after recovering from prostate cancer.

He said: "A little over three years ago I was diagnosed with extremely aggressive cancer and, I don't mean to make light of it, but they were counting me out. And I thought 'You know, I'm going to do more music and more records than I have ever done in my life'."
