Katy Perry and John Mayer sparked rumours they are taking their romance up a notch after they visited the pop star's hometown.
The couple, who have been dating since this summer, took a break from their busy schedules to visit Santa Barbara, where Katy grew up, reports X17Online.
A photographer who saw the couple touring local landmark the Old Mission told the site they looked smitten with each other and that their trip seemed to be a "total lovers getaway."
The source said: "When they got to the Mission, they were holding hands and laughing and when they visited the balcony of the building, they kissed a few times. It was really romantic."
Teenage Dream singer Katy, whose divorce from funnyman Russell Brand was made final earlier this year, was first spotted out with singer-songwriter John in June.
Last month they showed their romance was still going strong when they donned 'his and hers' outfits for the a party, with Katy dressed as a sexy vampire and John as a vampire hunter.
