Ronan Keating tees off at K Club after returning home

Ronan Keating returned to the Republic of Ireland yesterday and brought his children to the K Club in Co Kildare, where he played a round of golf.

The Boyzone singer jetted into Dublin from Switzerland yesterday morning and made his way to the family home in Malahide, where it was anticipated he would hold crisis talks with his wife Yvonne.

The couple announced their surprise separation last week after 12 years of marriage; Keating has since been linked to a dancer in the UK.

However, Keating only spent an hour at his home in the exclusive Abbington estate before leaving in a car with children Jack (11), Marie (9) and Ali (4).

It was initially thought the 33-year-old might have been en route to Portugal where the Keatings have a holiday home.

However, just hours later, Keating was spotted teeing off at the exclusive K Club in Straffan, Co Kildare.

Wearing a white shirt and dark sunglasses, the star acted as his own caddy as he led his children around the course — he was the only member of the unusual four-ball actually playing golf. His minders arrived to meet him at Dublin airport yesterday morning with his golf bag.

It has been reported that Keating — a keen golfer — was on the same course last Wednesday when he was contacted by Yvonne to say she was aware of the links with dancer Francine Cornell (26).

The couple bought a luxury apartment in the exclusive K Club at the beginning of the decade — before selling soon after — and Keating is a regular visitor to the club, recently endorsing its new shared-ownership scheme.

It is believed he will stay in a residence on the estate in an attempt to escape the media spotlight. There was a strong security presence at the golf course yesterday.
