Rylan set to release dance single

Rylan Clark has finally landed a record deal.

The former X Factor singer has enjoyed a successful TV career since auditioning for the talent contest two years ago, with Big Brother's Bit On the Side, This Morning and Celebrity Big Brother.

But he is now ready to get back into music, The Sun reported, getting a deal with Universal, which also has Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and on their books.

Rylan, who Gary Barlow described as a "joke" on the show, is set to release the single under a different name to avoid getting ridiculed.

A friend was quoted as saying: "Despite the abuse Rylan got from Gary Barlow about his voice, he has always wanted to release music.

"The tracks are dance oriented so it is fair to say there will be some auto-tuning going on.

"He feels now is the time to get back into music as well as TV stuff."

Rylan is set to put out the first track later this year.
