Saturdays' Rochelle expecting baby

Rochelle Humes is expecting her first child with her JLS star husband Marvin.

The 23-year-old Saturdays singer made the announcement on Twitter, saying the child, due in the middle of next year, was "the best early Christmas present we could have asked for".

It comes just months after she married 27-year-old Marvin in a celebrity-studded showbiz wedding at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, with guests including X Factor judge and singer Tulisa Contostavlos and One Direction's Harry Styles.

"I wanted to be the first to tell you...we have some exciting news to share!" Rochelle wrote.

"Marvin and I could not be more thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child mid next year.

"We have always dreamt of being parents and the news is the best early Christmas present we could have asked for.

"I know Marvin is going to be a great dad and we're so excited to start a family."

Fellow celebrities were quick to offer their congratulations on Twitter. Take that singer and X Factor judge Gary Barlow wrote: "Congratulations @rochellethesats @jlsofficial So happy for you."

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole added her congratulations, writing: "Congratulations @rochellethesats @jlsofficial I'm SO happy for you #SoCute." And bandmate Frankie Sandford posted a picture of the herself and the other members of the Saturdays, writing: "Toasting a glass of vino to the baby!!!!"

It is the second big baby news in the glamorous pop quintet this year after Una Healy gave birth to Aoife, her daughter with England rugby player Ben Foden, in March.
