Singer Frank Ocean in drug arrest
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Frank Ocean is facing a marijuana possession charge after police said he was stopped for speeding on New Year's Eve.
Mono County Sheriff's Department said officers stopped Ocean's black BMW at about 4.30pm on US 395 in California's Eastern Sierra Nevada, for driving at more than 90mph in a 65mph zone.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Jennifer Hansen said a strong marijuana odour wafted out as a deputy approached the car and the officer found a small bag of marijuana on 25-year-old Ocean, whose legal name is Christopher Breaux.
Ocean, of Beverly Hills, was cited for marijuana possession and released.
